Self-proclaimed Mayor of North Wilkesboro, Noah Gragson, created one of the more memorable moments of the 2023
season on NASCAR® All-Star Race weekend. While battling in the All-Star Open for a chance to qualify for the main event,
Gragson pushed the track limits just a bit too hard. Coming out of a restart and headed into turn one, Gragson turned left
just slightly too soon, at full racing speed, and clipped the inside pit road wall. That sent him straight up the track and into
the outside wall.
While the car did need repairs, it was nothing to keep him from racing in the All-Star Race once the dust settled. Gragson was announced as the winner of the Fan Vote, which earned him a starting spot in the million-dollar feature race. As a
tip of the cap to those who supported and voted for him, Gragson and his LEGACY Motor Club crew made sure to give
their fans a proper shout out by writing, “Thanks Fans,” on the tape along the nose of his patched-up No. 42 SunSeeker
Chevrolet.
